NATUMOI FAQs

Guide to Your
Natumoi Experience

Planning a stay at Natumoi is about balancing curiosity, adventure and comfort. We understand that families may have questions about the house, the bush environment, or the experiences on offer. This section provides practical information and guidance to help you feel confident and prepared, so you can focus on exploring, connecting and creating unforgettable memories in the heart of the Mara.

Important Notes:

While every effort is made to provide an immersive and seamless experience, guests should remember that Natumoi is situated in a remote bush environment.

Wildlife is present throughout the conservancy and may be encountered during walks, drives or even from the house itself. Children should always be supervised outside, and the team will provide guidance to ensure safety. Seasonal weather can influence activities, so flexibility is encouraged. Our goal is to balance adventure with comfort, allowing families to explore, connect and create meaningful memories while remaining safe and supported at all times.

What is the minimum stay at Natumoi?

A minimum stay of 2 nights applies during low season, and 3 nights during high season.

Is there a restriction on the number of guests?

Natumoi can accommodate up to 9 adults and 5 children (excluding infants).

Can we customise our stay?

Absolutely. Tell us what you’re into and we’ll share our activity list. We can plan everything in advance, or keep things flexible and shape your stay once you’re here.

Arrival & Transport

How do we reach Natumoi?

From Nairobi, you can either take a 4.5–5 hour drive or a short flight from Wilson Airport (approximately 45 minutes).

We can arrange a pick-up from Mara North (around 60 minutes, at an additional cost) or from Ngerende airstrip (just 15 minutes away, included).

If you’re staying in the Mara Triangle, it’s approximately a 90–120 minute drive. We’re also happy to organise this as a day trip.

Is parking available?

Yes. There is space to park up to 3 cars at the house.

Can we arrange air transfers directly to the property?

Yes. Safarilink operates flights from Wilson Airport to both Ngerende (15 minutes from Natumoi) and Mara North (approximately 60 minutes away).

We can arrange a pick-up from Mara North (additional cost) or from Ngerende airstrip (included).

If you’re coming from the Mara Triangle, transfers can also be arranged as a day trip.

The House & Facilities

Are meals included?

Absolutely. All stays include breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with sundowners, snacks, and a selection of soft drinks, wines and beers.

For those looking to elevate things further, we offer a curated selection of premium wines and spirits, as well as enhanced experiences such as bush breakfasts and bespoke sundowners, available at an additional cost.

Is there internet and mobile connectivity?

Yes. Thanks to Starlink, we have a fast and reliable connection — so you can stay as connected (or disconnected) as you like.

Can we hire private staff for our stay?

Yes, this can be arranged. Share your requirements with us and we’ll guide you on what’s possible and coordinate everything to suit your stay.

Experiences & Activities

Are children welcome?

Very much so. Natumoi is designed as a place for families and we love hosting children of all ages.

Do activities require prior experience?

No prior experience is needed for most activities, which can be tailored to you. Horse riding is the only exception and may require some experience.

Are game drives private?

Yes. All game drives are completely private. Being within a conservancy also means far fewer vehicles, allowing for a more personal and uninterrupted experience.

Health & Safety

What kind of clothing should I bring?

We recommend lightweight, breathable clothing in neutral tones. Long sleeves and trousers are ideal for sun and mosquito protection. Comfortable walking shoes are important, along with a warm layer for early mornings and evenings.

You may also want to bring swimwear, a hat, sunglasses, and a light waterproof jacket. Scarves or bandanas can be useful for sun, warmth or dusty drives.
